1) How much do your services cost?
The services at Job Junction are FREE, Job Junction is funded through the Canada Nova Scotia Labour Market Development Agreement


2) Where are you located?

Our address is 6950 Mumford Road. (In the corner of the Sobey's parking lot, across from the St. Agnes School).


3) What are your hours of operation?
We are open during the following times:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Wednesday: 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: Closed


4) Does Job Junction provide career counselling?

We provide case management services for unemployed individuals who require assistance with career decision making. For individuals who are employed, we have access to a wide variety of websites that contain career information and we have bookmarked these sites to make it easier for job seekers to explore career related information. In addition, we have career decision making software, which is self-directed and accessible via internet. Please ask staff for further information.


5) Is there someone who can type my resume for me?

We don't provide a typing service, but we do have a software program called Winway Resume Maker Deluxe that helps you create a resume quickly and easily. We would be happy to assist you with it. We can also refer you to community agencies who offer resume writing services.


6) I have never used a computer to look at job postings. Can I still use your services?

No matter how much or how little you've used a computer, you are welcome at Job Junction. We offer computer workshops which can help you learn the skills needed for using a computer and we have job sites bookmarked on our web site for easy access. Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have when trying to navigate these job search websites.


7) Do you offer financial assistance for training?

Job Junction is not able to offer funding for training or skills development.
However, if you are eligible for funded programs through Employment Nova Scotia, our staff members are available to discuss the application process with you.


8) Can you tell me where to find more training?

We have lots of resources to help you find training facilities across Canada.


9) Can you tell me how to do a proper job search?

The staff at Job Junction have extensive experience in effective job search techniques. They would be pleased to give you some tips on using the services and technology offered at Job Junction, as well as refer you to other services within the community.


10) Do you provide resume building and interview tips?

We can help you find information on these types of topics and refer you to other agencies that provide these services.


11) Do I have to book computer time in advance?

We have 22 computer workstations available for job search related activities; Advance booking is not necessary.


12) Do you have to be in receipt of EI benefits to use your services?

No. Anyone can use our services.
