This workshop will cover the finer points of writing resumes and cover letters, as well as how to prepare for job interviews from the employer's perspective.

We will show you how to access Labour Market Information on specific occupations or industries that interest you. Find out about who is hiring, employment prospects, salary and wages information, occupational profiles and education/training programs.
Career Exploration
Utilizing Choices software, you will explore potential career options, interests, values, skills, abilities and work preference assessments will be your guide.
Microsoft Word Level II
If you have taken the "Intro To Basic Computer Use" Workshop, then this session will expand on your skills using Microsoft Word in your job search. Topics will include: creating tables, columns, headers/footers, file managment using folders and merging documents.
Tracking Your Job Search Using Spreadsheet (Excel) Software
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of Excel, including how to create a budgeting spreadsheet and how to use a job search log.
Using Presentation Software (Powerpoint) In Your Job Search
This workshop will introduce you to the features of Powerpoint and how to create a basic powerpoint presentation.
Resume Critique
Book a half hour appointment to have your resume reviewed with advice for improvment.
Keyboarding
In this workshop you will use a computer based software program to improve the keyboarding and typing skills needed to create and edit resumes & cover letters.

If you are between the ages of 50-64 and are having difficulty finding employment, this workshop will help empower you in your search for a satisfying and fulfilling job.
Coping with Job Loss
Losing your job is one of the greatest stress-causing life events, often resulting in a reduction in emotional well-being. This workshop will allow you to explore the nature of job loss and its impact, how to apply coping strategies and how to develop ways to move forward from the experiences of job loss.

Women's Employment Outreach
Confidence Building Workshop
Presented by Women’s Employment Outreach, this three session workshop will give you the opportunity to learn and utilize a number of techniques designed to increase confidence. Topics to be reviewed include: the definition and components of confidence, communicating assertively, setting goals, and concrete strategies for increasing confidence.
